It's no secret that paint can transform a room or a piece of furniture! If you have a basic, white front door, I suggest customizing it by painting it in a colour that matches the rest of your exterior, but brings focus to your entrance. Need some inspiration? I have a Pinterest board dedicated to front doors that will give you ideas on paint colours. If you're still stuck on what to paint I suggest looking at the siding of your home and seeing if it has warm, neutral, or cool undertones and choosing a paint colour from my recommendations below based on the undertones of your exterior.
aI like to think of hardware as the jewelry of your home, just like a nice pair of earrings can complete any outfit, the same can be said for hardware. I'm not saying you need to get a completely new hand set, but you can add a door knocker or mail slot to add an extra detail to your front door that will feel luxe.
The last thing to finish off a front door is additional accessories. I love seasonal wreaths and really like the fresh touch that they can add. I also think that door mats are a really nice way to transition from the exterior into the interior by adding a little bit of personality.
