Image source: Style Me Pretty Living This week I'm sharing with you this beautiful minimalist take on Mid-Century Modern design. This home has some great MCM pieces throughout. You can get this look for less by shopping all of my links below. Keep reading to see how you can get this look. the living roomImage source: Style Me Pretty Living This living room is so simple. but still has great impact on the home. Every living room must have a great couch, and this sofa is no exception. I love the light linen feel and it's the perfect neutral to mix and match with the rest of the space. I can't get over these arm chairs, they look so perfect in this living room. I found a very similar chair and it gives those mid-century modern vibes too. A simple accent cabinet is perfect to hide books and extra items, this one could easily double as little bar too! To finish off the space is a coffee table in a different wood tone to create interest, and a beautiful, vintage looking patterned rug. The dining roomImage source: Style Me Pretty Living The dining room is a great blend of modern farmhouse meets mid-century. This is such a simple room and I love that it's not overdone. I love the really simple oak wood table with the turned legs. The one I found it almost identical and is such a great price too! I love the windsor style dining chairs, they are a classic style, but the black modernizes it. The staement piece for this dining room is this gorgeous light fixture. I have been loving mobile chandeliers lately and this one is looks amazing in a dining room setting. To finish off this space is a rug to add some texture, pattern, and warmth. the child's roomImage source: Style Me Pretty Living I love this children's room! When designing a kid's room it's important to have it flow with the rest of the house, but to also add some fun elements too. I love the detail of the fun paint colour as wainscotting. It adds a pop of your child's favourite colour without looking overwhelming. The platform bed in the photos isn't the most practical for a smaller room. The bed I chose below is the perfect size, but still gives the feel of a platform bed. I chose gray since it is the most versatile, but it also comes in a couple more fun colours too. The rest of the furniture is from Ikea, but still creates the same look. A desk is another important piece of furniture for a kids room as they get older. This one is almost identical to the one in the photo above and I love that is has storage to keep things tidy. A simple stool is great for a chair to the desk since it doesn't take up much space and is still functional. To finish off this room is a rattan light fixture from Ikea and the classic Hudson's Bay blanket. I love that the blanket is a part of this child's room! It adds some fun colour and I think that an HB blanket is a staple in any Canadian home. The master bedroomThe last room, but certainly not least is this cozy master bedroom. I love the simple colour palette in this space, it's very relaxing and the wood adds some warmth. I love the bed above, but to add some MCM charm I chose this one below from Apt 2B. It adds warmth through the wood and the gray keeps the space neutral. Some simple nightstands are essential and the wood matches perfectly to the bed. I love the wooden bench and there is no better place to get one than Ikea! I love the natural element again in the arm chair. The one below has quickly become my new favourite from Ikea because of the cane detailing. This space would not be complete without a rug of course! Thanks for taking the time to read this blog post.
