Welcome back to another instalment in the Look for Less series! This week we are taking a peek at this model's tudor revival in Nashville. I love the blend between traditional and bohemian. It's a very carefree and playful take on this traditional home. This is a great example of how traditional does not mean stuffy! Keep reading to see the pieces I chose for each room and you can easily get the same look too!
The Living Room
I love the bright colour palette in this space and the dusty blue colour. The focal point in this space is the arched built-ins and the rainbow of accessories and books within them. This look is so easy to recreate by adding your own personal accessories and home decor once you have your key pieces. Two of those key pieces are the chesterfield style chairs. This silhouette is very traditional and is extremely classic. The one I found is a great affordable option and is on sale too! Although I couldn't find it in a powdery blue a gray is much more versatile and will work with any colour palette. Another versatile piece is a leather (or faux leather, in this case) couch. The classic shape of this one will look amazing in any room and also comes in a black. This couch is a great price and is also from Ikea! The element of fun in this space is the hanging chair. This would be such a great reading spot or a fun place for kids. I was able to find one for an amazing price since it's actually an outdoor piece. This is such a cute idea and makes the space a little more interesting. The last piece is this really cool globe pendant light. The one below is the same shape and has a beautiful gold finish. The last thing I would say to do is to really accessorize and add your own spin on it! The bohemian style is very colourful and eclectic, so make sure to accessorize with unique pieces and have fun with it!
This sunroom has such a beautiful colour palette. I love the light tones and how airy the space is. This would be such a good reading space or just to enjoy a cup of coffee in the morning. A sunroom should always have a light colour palette so the light reflects off of it. I personally love a light colour palette and all of the furniture pieces below would look great in any room. I love a cream sofas and they look so luxurious! I love this one below because it has full cushions and a nice shape to it. It's also from Ikea and the great part is you would never know it's from there. I love natural materials and that has been a big trend this year. I love this rattan coffee table and it's so perfect for a sunroom too! It has a beautiful finish and could easily transition to outdoors too. The next item I was able to track down is the bone inlay chest of drawers. Bone inlay is so expensive and is definitely an investment piece, but I found a cute chest that still has a boho look. This one is a creme to match the other pieces and has beautiful wood detailing. I chose to also include a genuine cowhide rug if you love the look of them. This one is such an affordable price at $250 for the real thing. This rug is so thin so it's perfect if you like the layerd the look. It creates a cozier feel to the room and adds to the bohemian style. The last piece is this beautiful pendant! I love the shape and how unique it is! This is another piece that really adds to the eclectic, boho look. Love this sunroom and the bright colour palette!
the powder room
The next room is the most dramatic from the article. This is such a fun take on a powder room and it's often an overlooked room in the home. I love adding a little more drama to a powder room and creating a space that leaves a lasting impression. One important item for a powder room is a nice vanity. I was going for the same wood-tone as the one in the photo and I really like that the one I chose has a historical feel to it. This one is under $900 and comes with a marble countertop too! All vanities need a great mirror and I was lucky enough to find an almost exact copy as the one above. It's another affordable piece as well with vintage vibe for an eclectic look. Another fun item is a bench in the powder room. I haven't seen this before, but it really creates a luxurious feel to it! This bench is such a classic design and is extremely affordable too. All of the wood tones in this powder room are different, but mixing and matching creates an interesting look and really fits with the boho theme. The contrast between rich and light tones tells a story and shows that you don't always have to match your wood finishes. The last item is the rug and I think that's another luxurious item to include in a powder room. This one is very affordable and is the perfect size for any bathroom. The last thing I would say is to really accessorize and personalize this room with artwork, floral arrangements, and lighting to really make this space your own.
the master bedroom
This bedroom is so fun and playful and I love the mix of pattern. MIxing textiles is so easy to do, my one rule is that you work with patterns in different scales and pull colours from each pattern. I love the shape and colour of this headboard and how it matches the bedding. The headboard below is almost the same beautiful coloura and has a unique shape. It's currently on sale now too for $220 and that's such a great price for a headboard! I love the bone inlay nighststand in the photo, but since bone inlay furniture is expensive I found a great alternative. This moroccan inspired side table has a real marble top and has a carved wood base. My favourite item in this room is definitely the striped settee. I love anything striped and was excited when I got to go on the hunt for something similar. A settee is not always realistic depending on the size of your room. The bench I chose is a simple and modern silhouette paired with a classic black and white stripe fabric. This bench comes in so many different fabric options in a range of different colours and patterns. I love how easy it is to customize this piece of furniture. The last item I chose to complete this look is the area rug. I love the blend of colours in this one and it ties together this whole look. It pulls the black, white, and gray tones within this bedroom. I love how unexpected each piece is in this bedroom and how they all pair perfectly together.
