Welcome back to another perfect pairings! Today we're talking all things tile, but more specifically your shower tile. Tile comes in so many different, shapes, colours, and patterns today. With all those different factors to consider it can be hard to choose the perfect look. Keep reading to see what I've picked out for you!
I thought I would go for something really classic and timeless for this look. This is such an easy look to acheive and can be done no matter your budget. Subway tile is such an easy and cost-effective option, plus it can last forever and not look dated. These mosaic hexagon tiles are beautiful! This shape is famous among bathrooms in the 1920s, and is the perfect addition. To add some extra detail I've added a chair rail to finish off the subway tile and some marble floor tile to edge the perimeter of the bathroom.
Patterned tile is so trendy right now! I thought it would be the perfect tile for a trendy bathroom. I really drew from the inspiration image and went with a blue arabesque patterned tile. I think a whole shower tiled in this would look amazing! The tile is made out of concrete and is so durable it would look great in a kid's bathroom. I kept it simple for the floor tile and went with a classic hexagon mosaic.
I have always wanted to do a fish scale tile in a bathroom. I love how playful and organic it can look! This tile is perfect for the bohemian as its an organic shape and comes in a variety of different colours to choose from. The tile manufacturer I sourced this from specializes in this tile and it comes in a variety of shapes and colourways. I really wanted to focus to be on the fish scale. A simple white penny round mosaic is the perfect choice to still keep it organic, but on a small scale.
When I think modern I think of a really clean and sleek look. I thought I would go with cement tile for both teh wall and floor. I was really inspired by the colours and textures in the inspiration shot. A simple concrete tile for the walls is perfect to create that sleek look. Black hexagon tiles for the floor will create a nice contrast and an interesting pattern on the floor. It's so simple, but it makes a big statement.
I am a huge fan of this inspiration image at the moment! I have always been worried about rustic tile or stone looking a little too dark within a space, but this image is the opposite. I chose tiles that still gave a rustic look, but are perfect to brighten up a small space. I love the shade variance in this rough stone, it's so versatile it could go in a million different directions. For the floor I chose a textured pebble tile. I love pebble tile and think it gives a spa like feel at home. But in this case it's the perfect choice for a rustic shower.

This look is probably my personal favourite! If you know me, then you probably already know that I love anything with black and white stripes. I think the black and white colour combo is so chice and timeless. Neutrals will always look good no matter the setting. I think this is such a cool twist on 12x24" tile and it makes such a big impact on the space. This not only is cost effective, but amazing for installers too. Really simple, but an amazing end result!
