Nothing says Christmas more than red, green, and some sparkle! When I think classic Christmas decor I immediately think of that classic colour palette, luxurious textures, and accents that add sparkle while not being too over the top. This look is perfect for any interior design style in a home and is just so classic and timeless is pairs well with traditional, modern, or rustic aesthetics.
When going for a classic Christmas look I would definitely recommend adding as much greenery as you are comfortable with. I love how greenery can easily brigthen up a space and it immediately contributes to the colour palette for this style too!
When decorating your home for the holiday season, stick to a simple colour palette for a cohesive theme. This colour palette has three colours, red, green, and metallic accents. I would suggest sticking to a colour palette that has three colours so it doesn't overwhelm your space and creates a cohesive look.
Wreath | Ornament set | Tree garland | Eucalyptus garland | Tree skirt | Tree topper | Stockings | Bottle brush trees
I am loving the look of contemporary Christmas decor right now! It's such a modern, minimal, fresh, and scandinavian-inspired way to decorate for the holidays. I love the minimal colour palette and focus on neutrals, subtle metallic accents, and contemporary greenery arrangements. This look would work beautifully in a home with lots of existing colourful decor, or a more modern home. This would add the perfect Christtmas-y feel, but woudn't overpower an already bold or modern home.
If you are creating a contemporary Christmas look I would recommend choosing pieces that are a little more simple. The contemporary look is all about a less is more approach, so combining multiple different decor items that have a minimal look will create a big impact.
For a modern take on holiday decorating play with different finishes of metallic accents to create contemporary feel. Mixing metals like brass, rose gold, and silver adds glamour, but with modern edge.
Wreath | Snowflake ornaments | Mercury ornaments | Tree garland | Flocked garland | Tree basket | Angel tree topper | Stocking
I love this simple and casual way of decorating fof the holidays, it's so pretty and is so fitting fo the season. Again, I really love the neutrals with this look, but you can totally add pops of colour for your own unique look. This style of decorating would look amazing in a more rustic home or if you have a bohemian interior design style. This still gives off the decorated Christmas feel, but is a little more laid-back and less forman than the previous two looks.
When creating a cozy Christmas look I would recommend using decor that has some sort of texture or is made out of a textile. Textiles will add to this look creating that rich and cozy feel. I think the more chunky knits and fabric accessories the better, you can't go wrong with adding more!
When creating a cozy holiday decor theme play with different textures! Textures create warmth and add that cozy element to any space. From chunky knits, warm wood and rattan pieces, to pretty glass there are so many to choose from. The more textures for this style, the merrier!
